Description

The Asset ID task provides you extensive hardware configuration management functions. The values provided by the Asset ID task include the lease expiration date, the warranty expiration date, and other data. This alert is generated when a system Asset ID value changes. The notification occurs when a change is detected in the system Asset ID task of a Level-1 or Level-2 managed system.

Causes

Asset ID lets you track lease, warranty, user, and system information. At least one of these values in the system Asset ID task has changed.

Implications

Address this alert at the earliest opportunity.

Resolutions

  1. Contact your authorized operators and/or system administrators.
    • Review the system Asset ID task and if necessary determine which value has been changed.
    • Consult the System User Guide and Hardware Maintenance manual.
    • Retain the full recorded logs.
  2. Monitor the system for future events, keep track of all alerts, events and logs.
