Description
This Critical Alert is generated when the Remote Supervisor Adapter detects that a component in a system is about to fail.
Causes
A variety of conditions can change the availability of a component. Various factors can cause a component to malfunction or to fail, such as voltage, temperature, or an internal error.
Implications
Address this Alert as soon as possible.
Resolutions
1.
Gather as much information about the failure as possible.
  "
Consult the Hardware Maintenance manual and Troubleshooting Guide.
  "
Retain the full recorded logs (such as logs from BIOS or IBM Director Server). Information in the logs such as
the instance ID (or Device ID), when available, can help you to identify the particular
component that experienced the problem.
  "
Make sure your system has the latest firmware, device drivers, and other updates.
  "
Damaged BIOS or damaged data in CMOS memory can cause undetermined problems. Clear the CMOS memory and re-flush the system firmware.
2. Monitor the system for further problems, and keep track of all alerts, events, and logs.
3.
If the problems persist, place a service call.
