Knowledge Article: ID X0A10001 " The RSA error log is 75% or 100% full

Description

This Alert is generated when a management module such as RSA detects that that its error log is at 75% or 100% of its capacity. This is a local event and not sent to remote recipients. However, these events are sent to IBM Director if it is installed.

Causes

The RSA error log contains entries that are currently stored in the server event log and POST event log. An event is generated when the error log reaches 75% or 100% of its capacity.

Implications

Address this Alert as soon as possible.

Resolutions

1.    Access the RSA II (such as through the Web interface), look at the error log, and read the latest error entries. Make sure you address them before clearing the log.

2.    Consult the RSA II User's Guide.

3.    Monitor the system for further errors.

4.    If the problems persist, place a service call

NOTE: As mentioned in the RSA User's Guide, follow these steps to access the RSA:
       "    Obtain the RSA static IP address from your network administrator, or check the server BIOS for the DCHP-assigned IP address.
       "    Open a Web browser and type the IP address of the RSA in the URL field.
       "    Type your user name and password in the Enter Network Password window. Remember that the RSA is set initially with a user name of USERID and password of PASSW0RD.
