Microsoft Windows Server DNS Optional Enable Windows 2003 2008 2008R2 Discovery

Summary

Loading this optional MP will enable the discovery of DNS Servers on Windows 2003, 2008, and 2008 R2.

Configuration

This MP is intended to allow for the Microsoft.Windows.Server.DNS management pack to run side-by-side with the Microsoft.Windows.DNSServer.2003 and Microsoft.Windows.DNSServer.2008 MP's without double monitoring until such time that SCOM administrators are comfortable removing the older Microsoft.Windows.DNSServer.2003 and Microsoft.Windows.DNSServer.2008 MP's.

If it is desired to monitor Windows 2003, 2008, and 2008 R2 DNS servers with the Microsoft.Windows.Server.DNS MP then this optional MP should be imported immediately after the old Microsoft.Windows.DNSServer.2003 and Microsoft.Windows.DNSServer.2008 MP's are removed.
