AD Client Connectivity monitor. This monitor takes the list of domain controllers that is generated by the AD Client Update DCs rule and performs a series of tests to ensure that a domain controller is available to the client
Tests include the following:
Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) ping
NET USE to SYSVOL
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) ping
LDAP bind
LDAP search
Bind Threshold (msec) default 1000: The number of milliseconds a bind is allowed to take.
Search Threshold (msec) default 2000: The number of milliseconds that a search is allowed to take.
Ping Threshold (msec) default 10: The number of milliseconds that a search is allowed to take.
Failure Threshold default 3 - The number of consecutive failures allowed before an alert is raised.
Interval (sec) default 60.
This monitor generates additional alert which provide details on the problem encountered.
