Memory Usage (\%) - TMM memory

Comtrade.F5.BigIp.Monitoring.BigIp.TMMMemory.Usage.UnitMonitor (UnitMonitor)

Monitors the TMM memory usage (\%) for a BIG-IP device.

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

This monitor checks the current TMM memory usage (in percentages) for a BIG-IP device. If the collected value exceeds the threshold value consecutively for the specified number of times, the warning state is triggered.

Extended high TMM memory usage can degrade performance, and the system may eventually become unresponsive or reboot.

See Overview of BIG-IP memory usage for more information.

Configuration

The following configuration parameters are customizable:

Debug

When true, writes more information into event log. Default value is false.

Use Cache

If true, cache will be used, in order to minimize impact of monitoring on the F5 BIG-IP device. Default value is true.

Number Of Samples

Number of consecutive sample values considered before generating an alert. Default value is 3.

Port

Port for accessing the BIG-IP device. Default value is 443.

Synchronization Time

Synchronization time in a 24-hour format. No default value is specified.

Threshold

The threshold value for usage percentage of TMM memory. Default value is 90.

Timeout Seconds

Timeout in seconds. This value is used for setting timeout value to access the BIG-IP device. Default value is 270 seconds.

Update Interval in Seconds

Recurring scheduled interval in seconds used for running the workflow. Default value is 300 seconds.

Resolutions

To investigate TMM memory performance history please open Memory Utilization

Please raise F5 support case if memory continues to be at high usage level.
