DELLEMC Enterprise SI iSCSI Storage Port Status

EMC.SI.ISCSIStoragePort.Status.Monitor (UnitMonitor)

Monitor the health status of an iSCSI Storage Port.

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

This monitor reports the availability of Ethernet ports on EMC storage systems that are used for iSCSI connectivity.

Configuration

See the alert for details about the affected port and its health state.

Causes

An unhealthy state for an iSCSI port occurs if a cable is damaged or disconnected, the link is down because of incompatible connection settings on the other endpoint, or the iSCSI port hardware fails.

Resolutions

Check the Ethernet cable and confirm the cable is securely connected on both ends. Try replacing the cable. Check the duplex and speed settings for the affected ports on the device and host that are connected to the cable.
