Failed to ping or bind to the RID Master FSMO role holder

Failed_to_ping_or_bind_to_the_RID_Master_FSMO_role_holder (Rule)

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

The AD Op Master Response Monitor failed consecutive attempts to bind or ping the relative ID (RID) operations master (also known as the RID flexible single master operations (FSMO) role holder). This is more than a transient error, and it should be investigated.

Note: A failure to contact the RID master may prevent the creation of new objects in the directory.

Resolutions

To view all the events that are generated by the AD Op Master Response monitor, open the AD MP Events view. These events provide more detailed information about the errors that occur during testing of the operations masters.
