Causas

SQL Server está generando más solicitudes de E/S de las que puede controlar el subsistema del disco de E/S.
Podría haber un problema con el subsistema de E/S, con el controlador/firmware, un error de configuración en el subsistema de E/S o de compresión. Por ello, los discos se están ejecutando muy lentamente y, por tanto, SQL Server se ve afectado.
Algunos procesos del sistema están saturando los discos con solicitudes de E/S. Las aplicaciones comunes incluyen examen de antivirus, copia de seguridad del sistema, etc. Por tanto, las solicitudes de E/S publicadas por SQL Server se ejecutan con mayor lentitud.

Resoluciones

Excluya los archivos de SQL Server del examen del antivirus.
No coloque archivos de SQL Server en unidades comprimidas.
Distribuya archivos de datos de SQL Server y de registro de transacciones en unidades.
Si la advertencia "La solicitud de E/S tarda más" es para tempdb, habilite la marca de seguimiento 1118 y aumente los archivos de datos de tempdb; consulte http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2154845
Si ninguna de las opciones anteriores resuelve el problema, recopile los contadores de rendimiento.
