Collection rule for the performance counter Physical Disk\\% Disk Time

Summary

This rule collects performance data for the Physical Disk\% Disk Time performance counter. The collected values are accessible in performance views and reports.

This metric exposes the percentage of time that the selected disk was busy servicing read or write requests.

The value returned by the agent is the average rate for the preceding 5 minutes.

Monitoring of physical disks is disabled by default. Enable monitoring by enabling the object discovery named 'Discover Solaris 10 Physical Disks.' Physical disks are not discovered for agents that are installed in a non-global zone.
