Monitor for when installing the agent remotely fails.
The remote agent installation failed to complete.
This can be caused by various reasons.
Check the agent management installation logs to determine what failed. Under the Management Server install directory there is a folder for failed agent installations. The installation logs may provide enough information to determine what failed. The installation logs are located in the Agent Management\Agent Logs sub directory of the installation folder. Example using the default installation paths:
Product | Install Directory |
System Center Operations Manager | %ProgramFiles%\System Center Operations Manager 2012 |
System Center Essentials | %ProgramFiles%\System Center Essentials 2010 |
Open the event log on the target computer where you were attempting to remotely install the agent.
Look in the Application and Security event log for any errors that may indicate why the Management Server was not able to remotely install the agent.
Fix the errors.
You may also need to check the Management Server Application and Security event log.
