This rule generates alerts when the Application Log module experiences a runtime failure.
One or more rules or monitors are trying to access a log in the Application Log Module but they failed to do so. They will continue to attempt to access the log.
Rules and Monitors may fail to access an event log for one of the following reasons:
The event log is corrupt or not present on the system.
The rule or monitor has been configured with the incorrect name of the log.
The Operations Manager action account does not have access to the event log.
Look at the name of the Application Log Module provided in the alert context.
Use the computer management task to connect to the computer, and confirm that the event log is present and accessible.
Run the computer management task
Confirm that the name of the event log shown in the computer management snap-in is the same as what was shown in the alert. If that is not the case then update the workflow to use the correct name of the log.
