Microsoft.SystemCenter.ComputerVerification.ModuleGenericError.Alert (Rule)

This rule generates alerts when the computer verification process generically fails during the discovery wizard.

Summary

While running as a part of the discovery wizard, the computer verification process failed with a generic error.

Causes

The failure may have happened due to several reasons. Information about the failure is available in the associated events and alerts.

Resolutions

The description of the alert contains information on the problem encountered. In case of a RPC error, make sure there are no firewall issues. In case of access issues, make sure the module is launched under right set of credentials that can do verification. Please check the associated event details and any other events that happened around the time of this failure to diagnose the problem.
