Monitors the private cloud virtual machine usage count

Summary

The Virtual Machine Usage monitor tracks the number of virtual machines and service instances running in the private cloud. When this count approaches the defined private cloud capacity, the monitor will go into a warning or critical state.

Causes

Virtual machine usage within the private cloud is approaching the defined cloud capacity. By default, when virtual machine usage exceeds 90% of private cloud capacity, the monitor will go into a critical state. This threshold is overrideable.

Resolutions

To return the monitor to a healthy state, you may:

Redefine the private cloud capacity limits

Reduce the count of virtual machines within the private cloud

Override critical threshold of the monitor
