DFS-R: Resource Dependencies and Replicated Folder Type Updating

Microsoft.Windows.FileServer.DFSR.6.3.Cluster.ResourcePropertyDependencyUpdateFailed (UnitMonitor)

This object monitors the updating of resource dependencies and replicated folder types (i.e. read-only or writeable), and creates a Warning alert if DFS Replication is unable to update either.

Summary

This object monitors the updating of resource dependencies and replicated folder types (i.e. read-only or writeable), and creates a Warning alert if DFS Replication is unable to update either. It does so by looking for the presence of DFS Replication Event 9007.

Causes

An unhealthy state of this monitor indicates that DFS Replication couldn’t update resource dependencies or replicated folder types. This can occur if an update occurred while failing over to another node.

Resolutions

Wait for the operation to retry

No action is required.

DFS Replication automatically retries the operation.

Verification

This monitor automatically resets to a healthy state after this issue is resolved.
