DFS-R: Replicated Folder Path

Microsoft.Windows.FileServer.DFSR.6.3.Cluster.RootPathInDifferentClusterGroup (UnitMonitor)

This object monitors the folder path for clustered replicated folders, and creates a Critical alert if it detects that the folder is not on a disk in the same clustered file server instance (resource group) that will host the replicated folder.

Causes

An unhealthy state of this monitor indicates that the replicated folder is not on a disk in the same clustered file server instance (resource group) that will host the replicated folder.

Resolutions

Relocate the replicated folder

To do so, remove the server’s membership in the replication group and recreate it. Doing so requires membership in the Domain Admins group or delegated permissions.

Verification

This monitor automatically resets to a healthy state after this issue is resolved.
