Summary

Network Location Server is used to ascertain whether the user is inside or outside the corpnet. The Network Location Server used for inside/outside detection must be highly available to prevent major outages for DirectAccess clients connected to the intranet. The NLS can be on the DirectAccess server or another highly available server.
