De TCPIP NetBIOS Helper Browser-service biedt ondersteuning voor NetBIOS over TCP/IP (NetBT)-service en NetBIOS-naamomzetting. Als de service is gestopt kunnen computers en netwerkapparaten niet worden bereikt op naam.
