The two
ESMs in a tray are reporting different version information for the
ESM factory default settings.
What Caused the Problem?
A drive tray in the storage array contains ESM canisters that are reporting different versions of configuration settings. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the recovery steps.
Important Note
Normally, the software would resolve the mismatch problem by automatically synchronizing the configuration settings between the two ESMs. However, there are conditions which may cause the automatic synchronization to not occur.
An ESM configuration settings version mismatch can affect how the storage array reports bypassed drives, therefore it is important to correct this problem before attempting to correct any problems associated with bypassed drives.
Recovery Steps
1 | From the Array Management Window, select the Upgrade > Tray Configuration Settings option and follow the instructions on the dialog to download the ESM configuration settings configuration file. |
2 | Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your Technical Support Representative. |
