An Async Mirror Group deletion has partially failed, resulting in an orphaned mirror member.
What Caused the Problem?
An asynchronous mirror group exists on this (local) storage array, but does not exist on the remote storage array. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the recovery steps.
Important Notes
This problem typically occurs when a delete operation was attempted while there was a connection problem between this storage array and the remote storage array. As a result, the asynchronous mirror group was not completely deleted from both storage arrays, leaving the mirror group orphaned on this storage array.
The only recovery action for this problem is to delete the orphaned side of the asynchronous mirror group.
Recovery Steps
1 | Refer to the Details area to identify the affected asynchronous mirror group. |
2 | On the Storage and Copy Services tab in the Array Management Window, highlight the affected asynchronous mirror group. |
3 | Select the Copy Services > Mirroring > Asynchronous Mirroring > Mirror Group > Delete menu option. |
4 | Follow the instructions in the dialog, and then click the Delete button. |
5 | Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your Technical Support Representative. |
