In a Native SATA array this indicates the controller has a duplex NVSRAM setting and all drives appear as bypassed.
The current NVSRAM file is not compatible with this simplex (one controller) storage array. This problem can occur for the following reasons:
You downloaded a NVSRAM file that is for duplex (two controllers) storage arrays.
You replaced the previous controller with a new controller that has a NVSRAM file that is for duplex storage arrays.
The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the recovery steps.
Important Notes
Due to this error condition, the only task you can perform on this storage array is to download a compatible NVSRAM file to the controller.
An NVSRAM file problem can affect how the storage array reports bypassed drives, therefore it is important to correct this problem before attempting to correct any problems associated with bypassed drives.
Recovery Steps
1 | From the Array Management Window, select the Upgrade > Controller NVSRAM menu option and follow the instructions in the dialog to download a compatible NVSRAM file. Note: When the NVSRAM file download is complete, the controller will reboot automatically. |
2 | Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your Technical Support Representative. |
