Summary

The WSUS_Control_Manager locally configures the proxy settings on the WSUS server that is installed on the Configuration Manager software update point site server by using the WSUS API. After configuration it sets the state as either success or failure.

Causes

This condition could occur because:

A compatible version of WSUS server 3.0 is not installed on the software update point.
Internet Information Services (IIS) on the software update point is not functional.
