ConfigMgr 2007 Status: Distribution Manager detected that WebDAV server extensions are disabled on a Distribution Point

SMSv4_Status__Distribution_Manager_detected_that_WebDAV_server_extensions_are_disabled_on_a_Distribution_Point_1_Rule (Rule)

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

The Web service extension, WebDAV, is required to be enabled on the distribution point that is enabled to download content to clients through HTTP BITS. The Distribution Manager creates the Internet Information Services (IIS) virtual directory on the distribution point and determines whether WebDAV is enabled.

The Configuration Manager administrator should enable WebDAV in IIS on the distribution point server. Open the IIS Manager and enable the WebDAV Web service extension under the Web Service Extensions node.

Configuration

The Configuration Manager site server is trying to configure IIS on the distribution point server.

Causes

This condition could occur because the WebDAV Web service extension is not enabled in IIS on the distribution point server.
