The SQL Server service has stopped. Configuration Manager requires this service to record and access necessary data. This condition does not repair itself and must be resolved before Configuration Manager can resume some of its core functions.
This condition could occur because:
The computer that is running SQL Server is shut down or is restarted.
Configuration Manager is being upgraded with Configuration Manager hotfixes or with Configuration Manager service packs.
SQL Server is being upgraded with SQL Server hotfixes, with SQL Server service packs, or with a later version of SQL Server.
MSSQLServer service is manually shut down.
The SQLSERVERAGENT service is dependent on MSSQLServer service.
This alert is best handled by SQL Server administrators. Configuration Manager administrators can also help.
