Summary

Routing Information Protocol version 2 (RIPv2) failed to send packets to the peer router.

 

Causes

The most common reason for this error is that the peer router is unreachable.

 

Resolutions

1.     Check the network connectivity between the routers.

2.     Verify that the peer router is operating normally.

 

Sample Event

Sample Event#1: Peer with IP address %1 was unable to receive RIP message sent out from interface with IP address %2.The peer might be rebooting, or Routing and Remote Access service might not be running on the peer.
