Veeam Hyper-V: Licensed socket count exceeded

Veeam.Virt.Extensions.HyperV.EMServer.Monitor.LicenseExceeded (UnitMonitor)

Licensed socket count monitor

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

This monitor tracks the status of the Veeam license installed on the Veeam Virtualization Extensions Server. This license is defined as the total number of CPU sockets on physical Hyper-V hosts that are monitored by the Veeam Management Pack.

Causes

The number of Hyper-V CPU sockets in the license was exceeded. More Hyper-V hosts are selected for monitoring in the Veeam Virtualization Extensions UI than it is allowed by the license.

Resolutions

Contact your Veeam partner or sales representative and obtain an updated license file.

Alternatively, uncheck some hosts in the Veeam Virtualization Extensions UI that will be removed from the monitoring scope and from the license count. Note that the unchecked hosts and all the VMs which run on these hosts will be removed from the Veeam MP for Hyper-V views in the Ops Mgr. Historical data will remain in reports but no new data will be gathered.
