This monitor responds to the alarm 'Cannot find vSphere HA master agent'.
This alarm will fire in vCenter, using triggers defined via the vSphere Client.
By default, this alarm is triggered by the following events:
vCenter Event | Description |
vCenter Server is unable to find a master vSphere HA Agent in {computeResource.name} in {datacenter.name}. | |
vCenter Server is connected to the master vSphere HA Agent running on host {hostname} in {computeResource.name} in {datacenter.name}. |
These events indicate that the vCenter Server has been unable to connect to a vSphere HA master agent for a prolonged period.
Check network connectivity between vCenter and all hosts in the Cluster; and also issues such as network name resolution and time service.
For more information on vSphere HA review the VMware document 'vSphere Availability'.
