Veeam.Virt.Extensions.VMware.VC5Alarm.HAcannotFindMaster.toRed (UnitMonitor)

Summary

This monitor responds to the alarm 'Cannot find vSphere HA master agent'.

Causes

This alarm will fire in vCenter, using triggers defined via the vSphere Client.

By default, this alarm is triggered by the following events:

vCenter Event

Description

com.vmware.vc.HA.VcCannotFindMasterEvent

vCenter Server is unable to find a master vSphere HA Agent in {computeResource.name} in {datacenter.name}.

com.vmware.vc.HA.VcConnectedToMasterEvent

vCenter Server is connected to the master vSphere HA Agent running on host {hostname} in {computeResource.name} in {datacenter.name}.

These events indicate that the vCenter Server has been unable to connect to a vSphere HA master agent for a prolonged period.

Resolutions

Check network connectivity between vCenter and all hosts in the Cluster; and also issues such as network name resolution and time service.
