Veeam VMware: Host Storage connectivity problem

Veeam.Virt.Extensions.VMware.VMHOST.DISKCONTAINER.Monitor.StorageConnectivityProblem (UnitMonitor)

Summary

The specified path(s) to storage are dead. Check the alert description to confirm the status. All dead vmhba storage paths will be listed, grouped by host HBA. The datastore each path connects to will also be listed.

Causes

Failure of the storage connection cable, disconnect of cable, storage taken offline, failure of the physical storage adapter, failure of disk controller/port/etc.

Resolutions

To determine the cause of the failure:

Identify the available storage paths to the device. For more information, see the VMware KB article Obtaining LUN pathing information for ESX or ESXi hosts (1003973).
Attempt a rescan of the storage. See this VMware KB article Performing a rescan of the storage (1003988).
If the storage is iSCSI storage then attempt to confirm network connectivity. For more information, see VMware KB articles Testing network connectivity with the Ping command (1003486) and Testing VMkernel network connectivity with the vmkping command (1003728).
If the storage is Fiber channel then check settings such as the zoning configuration and RSCN messages propagation. For more information, see Configuring fibre switch so that ESX Server doesn't require a reboot after a zone set change (1002301).
Check the physical hardware between the vSphere host, the HBA and all components of the storage array.
