Causes

The controller is not able to communicate with a disk that is assigned as a global hot spare. The disk may have failed or been removed. There may also be a bad or loose cable.

Resolutions

It is recommended that the server should be temporarily unavailable for placement of new virtual machines until the maintenance tasks have been completed.
